Computer Scientist,
Software Solution Developer,
Certified SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC),
Certified Scrum Practitioner, and
Microsoft Certified Professional.
For the last 27 years, I've dedicated most of my time to developing software-based solutions,
and until 2019, I worked for 20 years as an information technology consultant. The same year
was my 10th anniversary as Matrixoft Corporation's
Founding President. After that, I worked as a Program Manager at
Microsoft until March 2023. Since June 2023,
I have been the Founding President of ABLEXCEL.
I'm experienced, certified by Scrum Alliance in all three Scrum roles (ScrumMaster, Product Owner, and Developer), and trained by Scrum co-creator, Dr. Jeff Sutherland for the Product Owner certification.
Additionally, I'm certified by Scaled Agile as a Scrum Master (SSM), Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), Practitioner (SP), and Practice Consultant (SPC). At Microsoft, I trained Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, and Leaders for the POPM certification.
I was born and raised in the beautiful Caribbean island of Puerto Rico, where I got my Computer Science bachelor's degree from Interamerican University. Now I live in Concord, North Carolina.
Most people need help understanding what I do. Are you a programmer? Do you fix computers? I'm an enterprise solution developer. That means my work is about understanding what people do, why, and how they do it. Use my knowledge, experience, and tools to identify improvement opportunities. Then contribute to the product team's success.
I help teams and organizations succeed by aligning information technology activities with business objectives and priorities with training, coaching, and leading. Aid in the communication between teams and management. I help management prioritize goals by considering development efforts, business value, and dependencies. All this while improving the software development life cycle, team motivation and morale, solution architecture, development practices, knowledge management, requirement management, and continuous improvement.
Beyond my work, I am passionate about creating new things, learning how things work, manipulating sound with music production hardware, capturing moments with photography or video, and appreciating life's simple things. I'm the result of the people I've met, the people around me, the things I've read, and the things I want for my family and myself.
